There had been less than 0.2" of rainfall overnight, and the manhole was gushing at early morning.

12/29/05 1:15 p.m.

It had stopped raining for the past day and yet, the manhole continued to overflow. The backyard was covered in a thick layer of sewage sludge.

12/30/05 11:50 a.m.

The overflow was stopped sometime after 5 pm the previous day, but the site remains a mess. The Sewer Maintenance crew was out to clear out the line but their work did not include any cleanup or replacement of the manhole cover. More rain is expected in the following days.
